VoleiBook
Privacy policy
Last updated:
VoleiBook is an app by Ilargi Creative (Paul Moya, Ondarroa, Bizkaia, Spain), the controller of your data. This policy explains what data we process when you use the app, why, who we share it with and what rights you have.
Data we process
- Account data: email, name, password (stored encrypted: we never see it), language and date of last use.
- Content you create: teams, players and staff, matches, scoresheets, signatures, photos and logos. If you add other people's data (for example a player's name, year of birth, ID number or photo), you must have their permission, or their parent's or guardian's if they are a minor.
- Subscription: if you subscribe to PRO, payment is handled by Apple or Google. We only receive your subscription status through RevenueCat, never your card details.
- Technical data: server logs (date, screen or action, result and a partially hidden IP address), for security and to fix errors.
How we use it
- To provide the service: your account, storing and showing your content, and sharing matches or teams when you choose to (legal basis: the app's terms of use).
- To manage your PRO subscription (contract).
- To send service emails, such as password recovery or important notices (contract), and occasional news about the app (legitimate interest). You can ask us to stop sending news by writing to us.
- To protect the app against abuse and fix errors (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with providers that deliver a service to us and process data on our behalf:
- Contabo GmbH: server and database, in a data centre in the European Union (France).
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France): email delivery.
- RevenueCat, Inc. (USA): subscription management.
- Apple and Google: app stores and payments, under their own policies.
- Google (Google Drive): backups.
- Telegram: internal alerts about technical errors, without data that directly identifies you.
When a provider is outside the European Economic Area, the transfer uses the safeguards set out in the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Beyond this, we only share data when you choose to (for example, when you share a match by QR code or link) or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your data, for as long as you have an account. When you delete it, we remove your account and its content from the app, and it disappears from backups within 30 days at most.
- Technical logs are rotated automatically, and aggregated usage statistics are deleted after 90 days.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords encrypted, restrict access to the server and make daily backups. No system is infallible, but we apply reasonable measures to protect your data.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict a use, or ask for a copy to take with you, by writing to the contact address. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to the authority in your country.
Deleting your account
You can delete it at any time from the app:
- Open the menu (☰) at the top right.
- Go to My profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
You can also ask us by email. Deleting your account removes your account, teams and matches, and cannot be undone.
Children
VoleiBook is not intended for children under 14, and we do not ask them to create an account. Data about players who are minors is added by their coaches or clubs, who are responsible for having their families' permission.
Changes to this policy
If we change it, we will publish the new version on this page with its date, and let you know in the app or by email if the change is significant.
